CVE-2026-11586By default, curl automatically responds to WebSocket PING frames.

Updated under an hour ago ()

Does this affect you?

It affects haxx curl. Add what you run to find out whether that includes you.

No exploitation reported and no EPSS estimate yet.

By default, curl automatically responds to WebSocket PING frames. Because curl lacks an upper bound on memory allocation for unacknowledged frames, a malicious server can exhaust all available memory by flooding curl with rapid, sequential PING messages.
