Updated under an hour ago ()

Does this affect you?

It affects PTZOptics PT30X-SDI and 3 other products. Add what you run to find out whether that includes you.

CISA lists it as known exploited since Nov 4, 2024; federal agencies had to remediate by Nov 25, 2024. Treat that date as your deadline.

PTZOptics PT30X-SDI/NDI-xx before firmware 6.3.40 is vulnerable to an insufficient authentication issue. The camera does not properly enforce authentication to /cgi-bin/param.cgi when requests are sent without an HTTP Authorization header. The result is a remote and unauthenticated attacker can leak sensitive data such as usernames, password hashes, and configurations details. Additionally, the attacker can update individual configuration values or overwrite the whole file.

The CVE record is authoritative. Products marked “from the name” were identified from the CNA's free-text names, not a CPE, and are matched less certainly. This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.
